What is in store for 2017?

Firstly I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year!  It is time to pack away the decorations and clean away the cobwebs - the spiders have been busy in my house over the festive season!  It always surprises me how different rooms can look without the decorations - this year I am going to use the opportunity to take a fresh look at each room and plan some changes for spring.                                                                                                                 

Talking of spring I am getting ready to attend many of the home interior trade fairs in the next few weeks.  I can't wait to see all the new spring collections and perhaps find one or two new brands.  I am really excited about the colours and patterns for spring.  Grey is still popular but used more as a base colour with an emphasis on bolder pops of colour.  Whilst pattern and texture are both playing an important part in interiors for spring from tribal to chintz.  I know we should all probably be detoxing but one other idea that keeps popping up is creating a bar area.  It can nod towards the Deco trend. It can simply be a tray on a coffee table, a shelf within a bookcase or a dedicated console and it might just be my undoing at 6pm!
